CAD Drafter – Full or Part Time

Our headquarters and main manufacturing facility are located in the heart of Chicago, which has always been our home.  We are in a 125,000 foot state-of-the-art facility that is LEED Gold-certified for sustainability.  We have gated off-street parking, easy access to I90, and are two blocks from a CTA Blue Line stop and major bus routes.

What You Will Do
As a CAD drafter, you will:
  • Develop 2D drawings and 3D models of products and components.
  • Update existing drawings and models to reflect engineering changes.
  • Review and verify parts and assemblies for form, fit and function.
  • Work on teams to troubleshoot products to improve manufacturability, performance, and reliability.
  • Document design changes and manage engineering documentation.

What You Will Bring
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering design, or related field.
  • SolidWorks coursework or certification.
  • Strong understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing principles.  Familiarity with GD&T is required.
  • 2+ years of drafting or design experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in dimensioning, tolerancing, annotations, and notes.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
